Along with Derrick May and Juan Atkins, known as the 'Belleville Three' are considered to be one of the originators of techno, specifically Detroit techno. Here, in Detroit, techno was more explicitly based around electro than house had been, and the genre scored early crossover hits with 'Inner City'.

He is an American electronic music producer, considered to be one of the most important names in the Detroit second generation of techno musicians. Techno became ever more abstracted as the years went on, leading to Craig's productions, using Innerzone Orchestra in Talkin' Loud with the appropriately jazzy 'At Lies' in 1999.
